Relaxed, fun training environments

Advantages of Puppy Classes

Puppy socialisation and training classes are a great way for owners to introduce their new puppies to other puppies under the guidance of a certified animal behaviourist and to start training using fun, positive reward based methods.

Puppies are social animals and many love the class environment. Puppies will learn basic training cues and will be gradually socialised throughout the course in a safe, controlled environment.

Advantages of 1-to-1 Private Training

Private 1-to-1 training allows the design of an individually tailored training plan specific to your puppy or dog's needs. 1-1 sessions allow for specialised help so you and your puppy or dog learn and progress at a faster rate. Private training sessions are also more suitable for people who cannot attend classes, or for dogs or puppies who do not cope well with a class environment.

Is Training what I Need?

Training sessions are to teach your dog to respond to cues such as sit, stay, come, walk on a loose lead  etc. However, if your dog is showing reactive or aggressive behaviour (growling, lunging, barking, biting) towards other dogs or people or shows anxious behaviour then you will need to book a behaviour consultation.

To help decide if  your dog needs training or a behaviour consultation, please see our behaviour problems page, or contact us to discuss.
